San José del Cabo is hot and dry in May: highs average about 86.5°F (30°C), lows about 62°F (17°C), with almost no rain. Evenings are a little cooler.

Good to know
- Arrival day
- We recommend arriving on Thursday, May 13 to visit the art walk. Check-in at El Ganzo opens at 3:00 PM; the Welcome Party is the evening of May 14.

- Passports should be valid for at least six months after your trip. Check the current entry requirements, including Mexico’s tourist entry form (FMM), with your airline or the immigration service before you fly.

- Check the current customs allowances before packing gifts, electronics or medication.
- Time zone
- Los Cabos is on UTC−07:00 all year, with no daylight saving. In mid-May that is the same clock time as California.
- Money
- Mexican pesos are the local currency, but U.S. credit cards are widely accepted at most hotels, restaurants and shops. Carry a small amount of pesos for tips and smaller purchases.
- Phone & power
- Most major U.S. carriers offer coverage in Mexico; check your plan or consider an eSIM. Outlets are Type A and B at 60 Hz (about 120–127 V), so U.S. plugs fit.
